Professional Series Viking Cooktops Review

Viking Drop-In Professional Cooktop

At Elite, we are proud to offer a complete line of Viking Professional Cooktops. Long renown for their innovation and commitment to creating upscale cooking experience, the Viking brand remains one of the most popular with our customers.

Viking Professional Cooktops offer design integrity, maintaining the visual appeal of your kitchen while providing superior built-in cooking power. A coordinated kitchen not only looks better, but provides a more professional environment for home chefs to create their meals. Our Viking cooktop review covers all the heating types – gas, induction and electric. The electric and gas Viking cooktops are designed to fit most existing countertop cut-outs.

Viking induction Cooktop

Viking induction cooktops send heat directly into the cookware holding the food, which in turn heats the food.  There are not coils or burning gas rings on the cooktop. All the heat rests in the pot or pans. Viking Professional induction cooktops feature the trademarked MagneQuick Induction power elements. A magnetic heating element underneath each burner transfers heat into the pot or pan, which in turn heats the food. So the heat rests in cookware, not on the cooking surface.

The induction surface remains cool to the touch. All Viking induction cooktops have an easy to maintain glass ceramic surface. Since the heat travels through cookware, only high-quality enamel or stainless steel pots and pans work well with induction cooktops. (Viking offers its own line of distinctive stainless steel cooking vessels).

Viking’s 30-inch induction cooktop has four heating elements, each with a different power capacity – from 1,200 watts to 3,300 watts for more precise cooking. The 36-inch induction cooktop offers six burners, each with a different power level, including two 2,700 BTU heating elements.

Viking Radiant Smooth top Cooktop

Viking electric cooktops are available in 30 and 36-inch radiant cooktop models. Viking’s ribbon technology revs the burners to full power in three seconds. 30-inch models feature four heating elements – the fourth burner is a dual element with a nine and six inch elements. The 36-inch cooktop offers six elements to cover all your cooking needs accurately. Both models feature a continuous cooking surface to provide fast, even heating.

Viking gas cooktops help home chefs prepare stews, soups and other dishes with expert precision. The 30-inch Viking gas cooktop features four sealed burners. This prevents spills from leaking into the burners and ensures easy cleaning. The burners light regardless of knob setting and re-power if extinguished. No more struggling to revive dead burners. The 36-inch gas cooktop provides even more heating power with six burners from 8,000 to 16,000 BTUs of cooking power. Viking gas cooktops offer exclusive features, including SureSpark ignition for quick start-up, cast-iron grates designed for easy removal and cleanup, and a continuous surface that makes it easy to move large pots.
